Every Wednesday night during Daylight Saving Time I race sailboats. The sunsets over Lake Pontchartrain can be breathtaking. This particular sunset was at the end of the season when the sun was setting earlier, and we had not left the dock. The sun was setting over the new docks being built on the west side of Municipal Yacht Harbor. They are unfinished, so there are no boats in the slips in this painting.
