As I was driving my daughter to gymnastics, I saw some nice clouds in the sky, and thought it looked like we were going to get a good sunset. After dropping her off, I packed up my painting gear, and headed to the Madisonville boat launch. My intention was to get the painting most of the way done, and then wait for the sunset, and adjust the colors. However, I got there pretty early, and as I continued working on the first painting, I realized that I liked what I was seeing, and finished it as it was, before the sunset started. I pulled it off the easel, and started a second painting. This time, the sunset happened while I was working, and I had just what I was looking for.
